The Karajá Indians living in central Brazil, on the banks of the Araguaia River, a tributary of the Tocantins,
Amazon basin. The Karajá population still communicate in the native language and live many of their traditional values, while keeping in recent times,
continuous contact with our society.
Information concerning the location of villages were conducted by the Indian Ijesebere Karajá, professor and important contributor
to the textbook Karajá / Portuguese, which is adopted in the village schools.
